The Forg'ers

New painting- The Forg'ers
Unlikely team sent on a hazardous quest to find a rare ore, needed to forge the only weapon that can destroy the Wytch Lords, an uspeakable evil gathering in the west.
Experimented with color phase on this painting by using color adjustment layers. This was a new process for me and found I really enjoyed it.

Keymaster

This was an entry in the Character of the Week over at Conceptart.org. The brief was for the concept Keymaster.

The Brief :
In the middle of The Old Lands, sits the capital city; a glorious and beautiful place with seven magnificent halls at it's centre, one for each of the elements of the Gods; Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Dark and Magic. The entrance to each hall is blocked by an enormous door which can only be opened using a special key. Each key, is unique for each door, and is in itself a symbol for the element it protects.

There are no kings or lords in the capital, and the highest position in the land is that of the Keymaster. This role is one that cannot be bought, won, or inherited; instead when one keymaster dies, they are replaced with a child born at the exact moment of death of the previous one. Keymaster's are born with completely white eyes, however they are not blind. Their eyes allow them to see the truth in people, and determine if they are worthy to enter any of the halls.

Keymaster's carry all seven keys on them at all times, bound to them with a chain made of gold.

Your task this week if to design a Keymaster. They can be any age and any gender, but the importance of their role and title must be evident in their design.

Fist of God

Here is an Arch Angel as I in-vision it. Wanted the arrival of the Angel to be a vision of pure light.

Geriatric Hulk

This was for the latest for a weekly ImagineFX challenge "where are they now". Imagine your favorite super hero 30 years after retirement, what would they be doing, paunches, balding etc...
Chose to go with The Incredible Hulk, an old angry Hulk, this is what I imagine would make him angry!
PUNY CHILDREN!

Rocket Ship

This is my winning entry for the weekly ImagineFX weekly challenge "Retro-Rocket design". I was intrigued by the challenge and saw it as an opportunity to stretch outside my comfort zone, as space ships are not really my thing. My concept, as I thought of  "Retro" was that of an old auto, roadster style rocket ship. Being a huger Star Wars fan, I rendered it in the "been around the galaxy" beat up look. I am very please with the end result.

Dracula

This is another entry into a IFX weekly forum challenge. The brief for this challenge was Bram Stoker' "Dracula". Even though Stoker describes Dracula an an old man, I went with a younger version, and tried to focus on his penetrating eyes and the sexual tension between him and Mina.

ImagineFX Challenge- Elric Of Melibone

Entered this for one of the weekly IFX forum challenges. The brief was to do a "teaser poster"
for a fictitious movie of  Michel Moorcock's antihero Elric of Melibone. Being one of my early digital pieces I am happy with how it turned out but, but as far as the challenge went, I think it came off as more of a book cover than movie poster.

1ST digital painting

This was my 1st start finish digital piece. After years of messing around with the digital format, getting frustrated due to my lack of knowledge , I decided this year to treat the move into digital as my second job.
